Lost Then Found Ministries:

“Bridging the gap between secular and Christian communities,
reaching the lost and the found through music and entertainment.

Performing for an audience of One”

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth
where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in
and steal. But store for yourselves treasures in
heaven……For where your treasure is, there your heart
will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21 NIV

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to
serve others, faithfully, administering God’s grace in
it’s various forms” 1 Peter:10 NIV

In every performance outside of our own church during the past 5 years God has provided us a rewarding consequential occurrence that has confirmed our existence as a group.

Testimonies:

During a performance for an Angel Flight fundraising dinner, we felt as if we were a bit out of place. We provided music for the cocktail hour prior to the event and were kind of stuck in a corner as background music. So we thought!

It wasn’t until we were packing up that a waiter who had been serving diners during the event approached us.  He told us that he had been struggling as a single parent and recovering alcoholic. He said that when he arrived at work that night that he was frustrated at having to work so many hours to maintain financial stability and how he wasn’t seeing his child because of it. He was ready to go out after work and drink again. Because of the reminder through our music that God was near he told us he had been comforted that he was doing OK and changed his mind about going out.  He decided to go home instead.  We had an opportunity to pray for him and speak to him about getting into a church. The Lord rewarded us through our waiter friend and reminded us that we perform for and audience of One.

At another concert at a small Methodist church there had been no promotion and consequently we were performing for a very small group. At most there were 20 people in the audience. We could have gotten discouraged but as we prayed before the concert we were reminded that we perform for an audience of One. During a break a woman came up to us and thanked us. She had passed by the sign in front of the church earlier and decided that she’d come listen. Her husband was at sea and she was ready to go out after wards and look for some “companionship”. After hearing the music she changed her mind! The pastor of the church took her aside and prayed with her. She and her husband are now attending the church regularly and doing well!

There is a similar testimony for every performance!

Here is a list of some of the things that we feel that God is calling us to pursue in Local Outreach:

  Local Outreach:

  • Regional performances with the focus on outreach and evangelism. Offering concert opportunities to other churches and scheduling them around secular performances for the sake of outreach with a fundamental organization in place to follow up.
  • Continue performing in area restaurants and letting the light of Christ shine in very dark places!
  • Establish a support network of local churches for consistent follow up contacts in every area
  • Partnering with like-minded churches for outreach services at the oceanfront on Sundays in the summer.
  • Organizing sponsorship for Christian music stages at regional festivals such as Harborfest, Neptune Festival, Bay Days, and Suffolk Peanut Festival.
  • Organizing national level Christian Music Festival in Virginia Beach area (Holiday Travel Park)

National and Global Support:

  • Organizing Edification Revivals for regional missionaries.
  • Mission trips abroad as partners with other missions for the purpose of edifying regional missions.
  • Offering worship music at times of regional conferences.
  • Offering public performances to help bridge the gaps in a non threatening way.

As you can see, there are many exciting ministry opportunities on the horizon. Do any of these ideas excite you? Do you feel that the Lord can use you in this ministry? Would you like to be a financial supporter?
We can’t begin to tell you how overwhelmed we have become with all that the Lord has put on our hearts. He has convinced us that there is a need for all of the things listed and I believe that He has been preparing me for this all of my life.

There will be many hours of organization, preparation and planning. It’s a vision that is beyond our capabilities alone. Won’t you please contemplate one or more of these areas to be involved in?

      • Prayer
      • We need a prayer team first. We will only know God’s blessings by taking this ministry to Him in prayer.
      • Praying that we can form the right business in order to best serve Him
      • Most immediate need is a good “follow-up” person. My most challenging personal weakness is getting all of the loose ends neatly formulated together in an organized way.
      • Serve on the board
      • Prayer
      • Serve as an accountability advisor
      • Organization
      • Prayer
      • Sponsorship/ financial solicitation
      • Establishing network with other churches.
      • Prayer
      • Serving with what ever gifts you can offer
      • And finally, more prayer.
